• 1997
  B&T EXACT GmbH established.
  Starts up with the business divisions of aluminium components for the automotive supplier industry and final assembly of roller blinds for carriage manufacturers. Realisation of product development and implementation of the CATIA CAD system. Business carried out in rented premises. The management section is in Ennepetal and the assembly section in Frauenstein.
  
  
• 1998
  Construction of the administration and production building in Gevelsberg (1125 m²). Move from Ennepetal to the company-owned property in Gevelsberg. Installation of roller blind assembly and mechanical processing of roller blind accessory components.
  
  
• 1999
  The French office is set up in Lyon.
  First French series orders for the rail sector. Roller blinds for the X-TER line and adoption of TGV roller blind production.
  
  
• 2000
  Entry into the commercial vehicle sector.
  With front and side roller blinds for the driver's cab of medium to heavy trucks.
  
  1. Structural expansion in Gevelsberg of 450 m2 with the implementation of the prototyping and experimental department.
  
  
• 2001
  Construction of production building in Frauenstein (1600 m²).
  Realisation of the ‘Aluminium components’ production area for the automotive supplier industry.
  
  
• 2002
  Entry into the bus sector.
  The first series order for front-end shading systems for coaches was placed.
  
  
• 2003
  First direct series orders from the automotive industry.
  Components for chassis applications are supplied directly to the OEM.
  
  Second expansion of Gevelsberg by 1750m² with the realisation of materials manufacturing facilities.
  
  
• 2004
  First interior order from the rail manufacturing industry.
  Everything from the floor to the ceiling. Side panel linings, roller blinds, table and seat fixtures, as well as air-conditioning ducts and sealing systems
  
  
• 2007
  Company split into business divisions.
  The business divisions of ASD and ASC were transformed into self-dependent branches.
  
  
• 2008
  Start of globalisation.
  Establishment of B&T EXACT Hong Kong Limited.

  First introduction of products from intergranular-free extruded profiles
